Terms of Service
1. About these Terms
These Terms govern access to Bytora’s business-management services at bytpos.com and through the Bytora mobile application. The service is operated by Bytora Limited. By creating an account or using the service on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.
2. Company accounts and staff access
A company account is for business use. The person registering the company is responsible for accurate registration details, a working email address, keeping credentials secure, and deciding which staff may access the workspace. Staff must use accounts authorized by their company. Do not share credentials, impersonate another person, or access another company’s information. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Verification and available features
We may require email verification before business features become available. Features depend on the selected plan, company configuration and assigned permissions. A free starting plan does not guarantee access to every module. Changes to a paid plan, price or billing arrangement must be presented before you authorize them. A staff account does not independently own the company workspace.
4. Subscriptions, payments and cancellation
Where paid services are offered, the price, billing period, applicable taxes, renewal conditions and cancellation process shown at checkout form part of your purchase. Do not assume a free account includes a paid subscription. Contact support about billing errors, cancellation, refunds or account closure. Refunds and cancellation rights are subject to the disclosed purchase terms and applicable law; these Terms do not remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
5. Your business records
You or your business retain rights in the information, logos and documents you submit. You authorize Bytora to host, process, transmit and display that material as needed to provide, secure and support the service. You are responsible for the accuracy of records, the permissions needed to submit them, and the lawful handling of information about employees, customers, suppliers and other people. Keep independent copies of records you must retain.
6. Financial, payroll and compliance tools
Reports, calculations, forms and reminders help you manage your business. You remain responsible for checking their accuracy, applying current rules, meeting filing and payment deadlines, and obtaining appropriate professional advice when needed. Saving or marking a form submitted inside Bytora does not by itself file it with a government authority. Recording a card payment does not by itself process or settle that payment.
7. Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully. Do not upload unlawful or malicious content, infringe rights, attempt to bypass access restrictions, disrupt the service, scrape other tenants’ information, or use the service for fraud. Do not test the security of production systems without written authorization. We may investigate misuse and restrict access reasonably necessary to protect users, data or the service.
8. Third-party services and device permissions
Optional payment, banking, email, meeting and other integrations may have their own terms and privacy notices. Connecting an integration authorizes the data exchange needed for the features you choose. Device permissions are requested for relevant functions, such as selecting or capturing a document. Availability of an integration does not mean Bytora controls its provider or guarantees its performance.
9. Availability and changes
We may maintain, improve or change the service. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or that every feature will remain available indefinitely. We will take reasonable steps to communicate material changes affecting active paid services. You should review important outputs and maintain business-continuity arrangements appropriate to your operations.
10. Suspension, closure and business data
You may request account closure through support. A company administrator should coordinate export and closure of a shared workspace. We may suspend or terminate access for serious misuse, security risks, non-payment where applicable, or legal requirements. Where practicable and lawful, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Closing an account is separate from a verified data-deletion request; retention and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Responsibility and limitations
Each party is responsible for its own acts and obligations. To the extent Jamaican law permits, Bytora is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost profit, or losses caused by inaccurate information you submit, misuse of credentials, or third-party systems outside our control. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, deliberate wrongdoing or any liability or statutory protection that cannot lawfully be excluded. These Terms do not make you waive mandatory rights.
12. Intellectual property
The Bytora name, application, website and service materials remain the property of Bytora Limited or their respective licensors. Your permission to use the service is limited to lawful use under these Terms. Company logos and other customer-owned content remain the property of their owners.
13. Privacy and notices
Our Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling. Accepting these Terms acknowledges that the Privacy Policy is available to you; it is not blanket consent to unrelated marketing or unnecessary processing. We may send operational, security, verification and account notices using the contact details associated with your account.
14. Updates, law and contact
We may update these Terms and identify the effective date and version on this page. Material changes will be communicated through reasonable account or service notices. Mandatory legal requirements prevail over conflicting wording. Jamaican law governs these Terms, and disputes are subject to the courts of Jamaica, without removing mandatory rights that apply to you.
